I’m a journalist who loves music and loves cars, so what better place to be than 1sixty8 media?
I’ve worked for newspapers in Kansas, New York, North Carolina and Texas as a writer and an editor, and I’ve been a classical and jazz radio host along the way. Now, my husband and I own a vinyl record store in Rochester, NY, and love bringing musicians to town for concerts in our store and at local venues. In my spare time, I’m also working on my master’s degree in journalism.
I grew up on a farm in central Nebraska, where my dad and his farming brothers were major tinkerers and made do with what they had – and got the most out of their vehicles. Now I cringe to think of how they retrofitted that ’58 Biscayne with amazing hydraulics to turn it into a farm implement, or how my dad, before he could afford a pickup truck, hauled livestock in the back seat of his ’48 Chevy Coupe.
